This one's got a proper worn-in feel straight out of the box. Whiskey brown with a dappled, distressed finish, the sort of leather that looks like it's already lived a little, which is rather the point when it started life as rescued leather in the first place.
Paulette's a slouchy shoulder bag built for chucking everything in. Work bag, everyday bag, the bag you reach for when you need room and don't want to think too hard about it. The removable strap means you can wear her over the shoulder or carry her under your arm depending on the day, and the zip keeps everything contained even when she's full.
Inside, a leather trimmed slip pocket and a clever zip pocket do the organising, and tucked into that zip pocket is a hidden leather purse, enough room for two cards, your cash and change. One less thing rattling around at the bottom of the bag!
Open her up properly and there's a beige, brown and blue patterned lining, a nice surprise compared to all those boring linings you usually get in bags. This is an autumn bag through and through. Chocolate brown and burgundy are everywhere this season, and Paulette's dappled leather sits right in that world, worn with straight leg jeans, boots and an oversized knitted cardigan for that thrown together but somehow still put together look. Layer her over a roll neck for the office or keep it simple with denim at the weekend, she doesn't ask much of you either way.
Made from rescued leather, lined in deadstock fabric that already existed rather than anything made new for the job.

Another beauty!
I have a few bags from Lilly and Jude and I love them all. I think this one is going to be my favourite this autumn though. It's really roomy, a beautiful colour and has lots of really handy features like the zipped pockets on the outside of the bag and a built in purse. The lining is gorgeous. All of the bags I have from Lilly and Jude make me smile when I open them - they are business on the outside and a little bit "party" on the inside.
Every bag I've bought has come with a lovely little pack of useful goodies - tissues, hair grip, safety pin, plaster, emery board etc. and a lovely, personalised note. Honestly, buying a bag from here is a treat, but so worth the investment - I've had my other bags for quite a while and they are so well made that even after regular use they are still in perfect condition.
I love the fact that they are created using recycled materials and that everything is one of a kind - even if the pattern used is the same, the leather and lining etc. will be slightly different.
100% recommend if you're considering investing in one of these bags, you'll love it!

Gorgeous bag!
This is a really beautiful bag. The leather is beautiful, it is so soft and it the bag is really well made. I love the classic shape with the modern twist clasp. The little touches like the beautiful interior lining, and the handy card slots and zipped interior pocket make it so special but also practical. I also got some free gifts with this bag - a really handy bag hook and a lovely little pack containing tissues, an emery board, a tiny sewing kit and a plaster (I think). I used the bag hook when I took the bag for its first outing on Thursday night and it was so handy as it was a wet evening so I didn't want to put the bag o the floor, even though it has little feet to protect it.
Thank you for the thoughtful extra touches and the lovely note that was in the box. I'm very pleased with my purchases.
