There's always that one bag you just keep reaching for. The Starburn is making a pretty solid case for being that bag. (It's one of my best sellers for a reason, just saying.)
Made from rescued butter yellow leather (this season's 'IN' colour, according to Vogue, don't-yah-know!) with a beautifully grained finish, this crossbody is compact enough to travel light but clever enough to keep everything you actually need within reach. That front zip pocket? Perfect for your passport, boarding pass, or anything you want your hands on quickly without rooting around in the main compartment like a particularly stressed raccoon.
The woven chevron strap is removable and fully adjustable, which means it works across the body, over the shoulder, or however you fancy wearing it that day. The silver hardware keeps things clean and classic, and the paisley lining (cream, navy and burgundy, very fancy in there) is the kind of detail that makes you smile every time you open it. There's also a little integrated zip purse in there with room for two cards, cash and coins. Because sometimes you just want to leave the house without a dedicated wallet situation.
The Starburn was basically made for a European summer. Picture it slung across a linen co-ord at the airport, or hanging off the shoulder of a floral midi dress while you wander around some sun-baked old town pretending you live there. For cooler days, it sits beautifully with a t-shirt dress or maxi and a denim jacket. Butter yellow works with white, cream, light denim, rust and terracotta if you want to push it into autumn.
The leather in Starburn was rescued from waste and would otherwise have ended up in landfill. The paisley lining is deadstock fabric. Every bag I make is upcycled from materials that would otherwise have been thrown away, which means no two are exactly alike. The variation in the leather isn't a flaw, it's the whole point.

Gorgeous bag!
This is a really beautiful bag. The leather is beautiful, it is so soft and it the bag is really well made. I love the classic shape with the modern twist clasp. The little touches like the beautiful interior lining, and the handy card slots and zipped interior pocket make it so special but also practical. I also got some free gifts with this bag - a really handy bag hook and a lovely little pack containing tissues, an emery board, a tiny sewing kit and a plaster (I think). I used the bag hook when I took the bag for its first outing on Thursday night and it was so handy as it was a wet evening so I didn't want to put the bag o the floor, even though it has little feet to protect it.
Thank you for the thoughtful extra touches and the lovely note that was in the box. I'm very pleased with my purchases.
