Description
Simone is the kind of bag you throw things into “just in case” and then realise you’ve accidentally taken half your life out with you. She’s gloriously slouchy, properly roomy, and made for real, everyday use, not just looking pretty on a hook.
Handcrafted from soft, rescued tan leather, Simone has that relaxed, lived-in feel that only gets better with age. The floral lining adds a cheerful pop of pattern inside, while the soft structure means she sits comfortably against your body rather than fighting you all day. She’s an absolute dream if you like your bags practical but still very much pulled together.
This is a true year-round bag. Think jeans, ankle boots and a chunky knit in autumn, trainers and a trench in spring, oversized blazer and tee for work days, or even a floaty dress when the weather behaves itself. She works just as well for busy days out as she does for work, shopping trips or weekends when you’re out longer than planned.
And the pockets. Oh, the pockets!. Simone is absolutely riddled with them (in the best possible way). With seven in total, everything has a home, which means no more rummaging at the bottom like you’re playing handbag bingo.
Finished with a detachable double-strand shoulder strap, tassel details on the side zip pockets and protective bag feet underneath, she’s practical, stylish and quietly hardworking, exactly how we like our bags.
Like all Lilly & Jude bags, Simone is a one-off by nature. If a style proves popular, I’ll sometimes remake it in a few different colourways when the right materials turn up. This one, though, is genuinely rare. Simone needs large leather panels, and rescued pieces that size are hard to come by. So if you love her, don’t overthink it. There’s a very good chance I won’t be able to make another one like her.

Gorgeous bag!
This is a really beautiful bag. The leather is beautiful, it is so soft and it the bag is really well made. I love the classic shape with the modern twist clasp. The little touches like the beautiful interior lining, and the handy card slots and zipped interior pocket make it so special but also practical. I also got some free gifts with this bag - a really handy bag hook and a lovely little pack containing tissues, an emery board, a tiny sewing kit and a plaster (I think). I used the bag hook when I took the bag for its first outing on Thursday night and it was so handy as it was a wet evening so I didn't want to put the bag o the floor, even though it has little feet to protect it.
Thank you for the thoughtful extra touches and the lovely note that was in the box. I'm very pleased with my purchases.
