The Music Festival Reality

Festival crossbody bag content online is almost entirely American. It's all Coachella and stadium clear-bag policies and people who've never stood in a field in the UK at 6pm wondering whether that's actually rain or just a very determined mist.

British festival life is a different thing entirely. It involves:

• Carrying your own drinks in because the bar queue is forty minutes long
• Navigating a crowd while trying not to lose your mates
• Dancing without your bag swinging into the person behind you

The chips are mandatory. The 99 with a Flake is non-negotiable. The breeze is going to be "fresh" in a way that the forecast described as "light winds" but is actually doing something concerning to your hair.

Why I Make My Bags from Rescued Leather

I could make crossbody bags from nylon. Cheaper, quicker, easier. But I don't, because I think you deserve better than a bag that ends up in landfill after two summers.

Every bag I make is handcrafted in Shropshire from rescued and salvaged leather. Material saved from tannery offcuts and industry waste, given a second life as something genuinely beautiful and built to last. Each piece is completely unique because that's the nature of working with rescued leather. No two bags look exactly alike. No two pieces have the same markings, the same lining, the same strap and hardware.

It's slow fashion in the truest sense. Made properly, made to last, made to be the bag you're still reaching for in ten years when everyone else is on their third replacement nylon version.
